Japan: Charles E. Tuttle Company, Inc., 1968. 5th or later Printing. Hardcover. Good. An anthology of 320 Japanese Haiku translated into verse by Harold Stewart. With 33 Haiku paintings in full colour. Hardback with gold-coloured obi-strip in slip-case. Slip-case has a lot of wear to the corners and edges and rubbing to surfaces. The book has red and cream cloth boards, with gilt decoration to upper front board and small title in black lettering, slightly rubbed away. Silver lettering to spine, which is slightly sunned and faded. Gift inscription to rear of front end-paper. Contents clean, bright and beautifully illustrated.
