Gilt to the top text edge. A collection of short stories by this author including: – The Suicide Club; The Rajah's Diamond; The Pavilion on the Links; The Lodging for the Night; The Sire de Maletroits Door; and Providence and the Guitar. Softening of the back strip edges and bumping of the book corners. Rubs marks and some staining of the panels of the book. Browning and foxing of the text block edges with light browning and foxing of the pages. Foxing of the end pages with previous owners ex-libris plate to the top edge of the free front end page; and, original bookseller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down. Synopsis
New Arabian Nights by Robert Louis Stevenson, first published in 1882, is a collection of short stories previously published in magazines between 1877 and 1880. The collection contains Stevenson's first published fiction, and a few of the stories are considered by some critics to be his best work, as well as pioneering works in the English short story tradition.
