First edition, folio, vi, 520, (4) pp. Frontispiece, 89 plates and 22 maps, including a folding general map, plus a further plate "Engraved for the Modern Universal British Traveller" loosely inserted, some mild rubbing to the outer edge of some early leaves, new rear free endpaper. Contemporary tree calf, corners worn, recently rebacked.
