[1784], VG, First edition, bound from sixty weekly parts; folio, pp. vi, [7]-520, [8]; text in double columns, 4-p. list of subscribers printed in double column; tables throughout text of the roads of Great Britain; engraved allegorical frontispiece, 3 folding maps and 106 copper engraved plates and maps (plate list calls for 112 total), most showing two views per sheet, others 3 or 4, and some full page; also there is an added folding map of London and environs; contemporary quarter road over marbled boards; spine rubbed and slightly chipped; some damp staining and spotting throughout, a few margins with chips and short closed tear, hinges strengthened, book label to fpd (Arthur W Hall) and evidence of label removal. (371*245 mm). (ESTC T110455. Lowndes 1896/2824. Anderson p42). 'Though stated in the title to be a new tour through England, etc., in reality is is a description whose chief interest lies in the numerous plates of towns, castles, seats, residences, churches, etc... These views make up the most important part of the volume'. Coxe III, 31 & 155. A very good copy.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS You may request to cancel a book order or return a book within 14 days of receipt of the book. Item not as described: The condition of the book does not match the description on Madoc Books. Incorrect item delivered: The title, cover or edition of the book is different than the title on the order. Item not received: The estimated delivery date has passed and the book has still not arrived. To cancel a book order or return a book simply contact Madoc with your order confirmation details and to obtain the return address.

DELIVERY DETAILS We ship all of our orders via Royal Mail. Orders are usually shipped within 2 or 3 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized or a multiple in books we will contact you to let you know that extra shipping is required. Insurance costs are usually dictated by the shippers, should they be higher than normal, then we will contact you for your acceptance.
