A fine copy of the first edition, first printing in jacket. xv, [1], 393 pages. Includes poems from 6 previously published collections, plus 'new' poems and translations (includes translations from Jorge Luis Borges, Salvatore Quasimodo, Francois Villon, Andrei Voznesensky, and others). Laid in loose is the 4 page program for Wilbur's appearance in Seattle, May 9, 1988.
Synopsis
This volume represents virtually all of Wilbur’s published poetry to date, including his six earlier collections, twenty-seven new poems, and a cantata. Winner of the 1989 Pulitzer Prize and the Los Angeles Times Book Award for Poetry.
