Barry Rehfeld is a writer, editor and teacher. he is the author of "Home Sweet Zero Energy Home" (New Society), a book about energy efficiency and the environment. He is the co-author of "The New Crowd" (Little, Brown), a best-seller about Wall Street power. Going back over the years, he has won the NYSSCPA "Excellence in Financial Journalism" award. I was a senior writer for Institutional Investor, the features editor for American Banker and a reporter-researcher at Time magazine. As a freelancer, he wrote dozens of business stories for The New York Times, as well as feature stories for Esquire, Rolling Stone, Dissent, Film Comment and New York magazines. Judith Ehrlich and Barry Rehfeld examine how a group of dynamic young financial mavericks overtook the great German-Jewish banking families in postwar America to become the preeminent financial power brokers, radically changing the shape of corporate power in America.
