Baltimore: The Williams & Wilkins Company, 1930. xiv, 297 pages. The first printing of the book which developed Clark's zoogenesis thesis: that each of the "major types of life forms on earth evolved separately and independently from all the others". Clark was not a creationist, but many of the "intelligent design" folk today are fond of taking some of his statements ought of context to support theirideas. The book is clean and tight; cover is lightly rubbed at edges; previous owner's name and bookplate on front endpaper. The dust jacket is clean and reasonably bright; sunned at spine; missing 1/2" chips at head and foot of spine; tiny sliver cut off from back flap.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good-. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
