Inscribed by the author on the title-page, below which a proud owner has written: "Ch. H. Rogers, Mt. Vernon, N.Y., Sept. 1908." Bound in blind-stamped, diced purple cloth, gilt lettering on spine; purple fading as usual. 10.25" x 6.5" Presentation copy, inscribed on the title-page: "Robt H. Bow, Esq're from the Author." Bow (1832-1908), a Scottish civil engineer and photographer, worked with Edward Sang.
