About This Item
London: Leonard and Virginia Woolf & Institute of Psycho-Analysis, 1937. Book. Good to Very Good. Hardcover. Second Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. This is a nice clean copy but for a few pencil markings in various places and a previous owner name on the front free end paper. Book has very light shelf wear. Dust jacket has seen better days..
Synopsis
Original written in German, this was the only English translation authorized by Freud himself: The Standard Edition of the Complete Psychological Works of Sigmund Freud by editor James Strachey. This text is quite useful for its pieces regarding Marxism and "Occult Psychology," and particularly for an overview of the id/ego/superego distinction.
