Foreword by Abdelmajid Ennabli, Curator of the Site of Carthage, preface by editor, list of abbreviations, appendix and illustrations. Illustrated frontispiece, showing a plan of Roman Carthage. Page 131 to page 152 are black and white photographs of the archaeological finds and plans of Carthage. Tan coloured cloth covered boards with black coloured titles to the back strip. Photographic dustwrapper with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and white coloured titles to the back strip. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology at the University of Michigan was a symposium on the archaeology and history of Carthage, with the papers being delivered by a representative of each international team working at the site. This book is a collection of those papers. Rubbing of the book corners and softening and rubbing of the back strip edges. Age toning of the text block edges with offset tanning to the end pages. There has been creasing to the top right hand corner of the text is whole way through. Rubbing and a couple of small tears to the dustwrapper edges. Creasing to the top left hand corner of the rear panel with very obvious fading of the back strip, left hand edge and top edge of the front panel and to a lesser degree the same areas of the rear panel.
