Description:
New York: The Macmillan Company, 1909. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Poor. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, three-quarter bound leather with wheat cloth on boards. The reason for the low condition grade is because the front board was removed and displayed because of the bookplate. The front end page section has also detached. The book is complete, it's just in three pieces. The text pages are still tightly bound with no issues. Pages are tone due to age and some very minor spotting/foxing is present. This is the first edition with the copyright page stating a single publication date of September, 1909. The bookplate belong to Arthur Williams and displays the Williams Coat of Arms and is identical to the one displayed in the Ione K Wiechel Bookplate Collection at Kent State University.
