Good (+)/No Jacket. 14 Cms x 22 Cms. 283+(6, publisher's psychology & philosophy list); endpapers & list tanned, prev.owner's 1922-dated pencil inscription on half-title+same owner's small faint signature top t.p., occ.pencil marginalia, easily eraseable but give an idea of how a contemporary reader related to the book so have left them in situ, rear end-gutter was cracked, now repaired with purpose-made paper which is a bit too white but does the job, covers clean with only minimal rubbing to extremeties but much faded as unfaded centre of back demonstrates. A really excellent reference/working copy of this influential and important work which sought to pull together the new psychological ideas of post-Great War period, including Freud, Jung, McDougall, Wilfrid Trotter and the 'suggestion' school. Essential for all historians of psychology and psychoanalysis.
