Brown hard card covers are dull, corners rubbed, spine covering both volumes mostly gone. Interior old bookseller sticker, some general light foxing but otherwise clean and unmarked. "One of the most folksy books ever written concerning pioneer Indiana. The author was one of the first professors at Indiana Seminary and according to his biographer Dixie Kline Richardson, Hall was the founding professor of Indiana University, l825. "A great deal of the narrative pertains to Bloomington [Woodville] and that vicinity." 31 Decker 151 ; 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall .
