Three volumes Vol. I: (Third edition) XIX, (15) 309 pp, Vol. II: (Fourth edition), VIII, 309 pp (1" long by 1/4" high piece missing at bottom corner), and Vol. III: (Fourth edition) XI, 341pp; all volumes uniformly bound in leather with gilt lettered red spine labels and somewhat faded gilt gadrooning to inside leather margins (small piece missing at top of Vol I, wear to all corner tips and spines) overall very good; texts are good+ to very good. Some pages have variable staining , moderate at bottom of page upward (half way, part way to none- all text and illustrations clear to perfectly readable); period book plates, 5.25" x 8.25", illustrations include the author's newly invented machine
