Cambridge: Printed by J. Smith, 1826. Stereotype edition. Hardcover. vg-. Octavo. 249pp. [1]. 3/4 dark brown calf over brown marbled paper boards. Spine with gilt ruling and gilt lettering on a red label. This is an edition of the New Testament as printed by J. Smith, credited as the printer for Cambridge University. The text is organized in a two-column format, and includes an index of terms on the final page. Binding with light rubbing to the extremities, including along the top and bottom edges and the spine. Light scratches to the covers. Interior front cover and front free endpapers with some damp staining and foxing, as well as an inscription from the previous owner in ink, dated 1829. Sporadic light foxing throughout. Starting at the verso of the title page (pg. 3). Protected by clear plastic wrappers. Binding and interior in very good- condition overall.
