First Edition, First Printing of the author's First Book. -- There is a warm inscription, "To Louis, with my best love - A contribution for your hope chest, June 21, 1946." The actual signature is not obvious but was previously attributed to A.J.M. Smith. -- Author was one of the Montreal poets of the 1930s. Hardcover, red paper-covered boards. Condition: very good minus (some wear to spine edges, corner bumps, lacks the jacket).
