About This Item
155 x 235 mm, x, 338 pp. Index, bibliography, endnotes, illust. Hard Cover - blue cloth - Near Fine - one signature is lightly age-toned. A clean, tight, copy with an interesting handwritten ex-libris inscription at the top of the front free endpaper: "EX LIBRIS Richard B. Bernstein (1984)." It is possible, perhaps even likely, that this copy is from the personal library of the American constitutional historian, author and editor of that name because the book deals with a period of history within Bernstein's sphere of interest; and it was the byline he used until1993 when, according to his biography at Amazon, he changed it to R. B. Bernstein 'to avoid confusion with the several other Richard Bernsteins active in journalism and law.'
