Boston: The Atlantic Monthly Press, 1922. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). 1st Edition. First Edition, SIGNED BY AUTHOR. Clean green cloth boards with cream and green image of house on cover, cream lettering on cover and spine. Light wear to spine ends, small bump to one corner tip. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Signed on front free endpaper by author as follows: "For Mary B. Day and from one collector to another. - Alice Van Leer Carrick." On opposite page (front pastedown) is adressee's beautiful old custom bookplate (Mary Bostwick Day). Rear endpaper has an advertisement from Marshall Field & Company announcing author Carrick's visit to their book section where she will give a talk, autograph her books, and display her rare collection of Silhouettes and Valentines. Some offset (shadow) to adjoining page. Book is well-illustrated with photographs. 252 pages..
