New York: MacMillan Company, 1912. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. 194 pp. plus 4 pages of advertisements for books by Zangwill or on "kindred subjects." Blue cloth covered boards with gilt titles. Spine slightly faded. Spine heel and corner tips rubbed, otherwise a clean, tight copy. Laid in (presumably by book's early owner,) are 10 old newspaper clippings of reviews of this play and of another Zangwill play, "The War God." Also laid in, an article by Patricia Hoey about Zangwill torn from an old monthly publication. The play was censored in England as blasphemy.
