London: Michael Joseph, (1954). First Edition. First printing Near fine in gray cloth covered boards with red and black text and designs on the spine. A small octavo of 7 3/4 by 5 1/4 inches with slight lean to the spine In a very near fine, unclipped dust jacket with the spine area slightly tanned. 240 pages of text. A collection of short stories pertaining to the Nazi war crimes. Little Brown produced only 7,000 copies of the first edition in the US while Michael Joseph in London produced 20,000 copies of the first UK edition. Of course if you are a "follow the flag" collector of Forester's books, this is the version you will want to have.
