London: George Allen & Unwin Ltd, 1937. 1st edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. VG. 8vo, 344pp (plus plates and foldout map), fuchsia boards with spine stamped in gold. Front free endpaper bears a penciled gift inscription to pianist Reah Sadowski from a friend in the year of publication (no other markings). A sound copy with faint spotting to page edges and map, closed tear to map, light outer wear.
