Dustjacket conditiion: Good, with light shelfwear, and light vertical crease to spine of jacket. 288pp. 8 colour plates (inc.frontispiece and half-title), many b/w illustrations. Nina Hamnett (1890-1956) was a talented artist and legendary Queen of Bohemia in London and Paris, immortalised in the paintings and sculptures of her contemporaries (such as Roger Fry, Walter Sickert and Gaudier-Brzeska), while her portraits of her friends are among her finest work. This biography, largely based on personal interviews and original research, is an account of Hamnett's life, her work and the bohemian world she lived in. .
