About This Item

The deluxe edition of the English translation of the original French work by Hector Malot (1830-1907) completed by Florence Crewe Jones (1876-1940). It contains illustrations by Thelma Gooch (1895-1973), who was an American artist known for her work on children's books and pulp magazines.

This book is in good condition. There is some damage to the illustration on the front cover, and a book plate partially torn off the front fly leaf. There is some wear to the fabric covering the boards, especially at the edges and corner. The front hinge is slightly cracked.

The text and interior illustrations remain clear and bright.
