Very Good/Acceptable. 0x0x0. 1985 silver anniversary edition, North American Falconry and Hunting Hawks (Denver, Colorado), 9 x 11 3/8 inches tall blue pebbled faux leather hardcover in publisher's unclipped dust jacket, silver design and lettering to front cover and spine, color pictorial endpapers, copiously illustrated with black-and-white and color drawings, index, xii, 386 pp. plus 16 unnumbered pages of plates. Very slight soiling and rubbing to covers, with mild bumping to tips (especially lower tips). Prior owner name and address stamp to front and rear pastedowns. Otherwise, a very good to near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked - in a slight soiled and rubbed dust jacket with a few chips and edge tears but which is nicely preserved and displayed in a clear archival Brodart sleeve. Note that this is a heavy and oversized book, so additional postage will be required for international or priority orders. ~JJ~ [5.5P] The only up-to-date treatise on falconry and hawking. Also additional chapters on the ecology of rare or little-known species of raptors only found in North America. Special chapter on breeding falcons and hawks in captivity. Contributors: Dr. James H.
