London: G. Routledge and Sons. Good with no dust jacket. 1868. Hardcover. Mr. Buchanan's works displayed a respect for those living a simpler life. Author's 'North Coast Poems' comprise roughly 2/3 of this volume. --- Elaborately bound in blue beveled edge cloth-covered boards with gilt and red lettering and decorations, front, rear and spine. With 53 illustrations by T.(homas) and E.(dward) Dalziel and 5 others; all of which were engraved by the Brothers Dalziel. Printed on heavy papers, with all three edges in gilt. --- Volume has noticeable tears to cloth at spine ends, many leaves with foxing. Sticker removal damage to front pastedown. Overall, a tight copy with some magnificent examples of the engraver's art. (Due to the considerable weight of this item, extra shipping charges may be requested.) ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 250, (6, ads) pages .
