London, Gurney and Jackson, 1905. 8vo (22.6 x 14.5 cm). 4 pp.; one chromolithographed plate by John Gerrard Keulemans, finished by hand. [148 pp.; three plates for the issue]. Original printed wrappers. = Written by the British ornithologist Frederick John Jackson (1860-1929), author of The birds of Kenya colony and the Uganda protectorate, and illustrated by the famous Anglo-Dutch natural history painter John Gerrard Keulemans (1842-1912). Published together with eight other onithological papers, including one on the systematics of the Turdidae, with two plates by the great Danish bird artist Henrik Grönvold (1858-1940), of which one beautifully coloured; and with some fine text illustrations. Uncut. Some wear to spine ends; otherwise very good, clean, unmarked.
