New York: James R. Osgood. Good+. 1877. First American Edition. Hardcover. Félix Narjoux (19 December 1836 – 1891) was a French architect. Translated from the French by John Peto. "Author's edition from Advance sheets. " Contains 214 illustrations. The author describes the architecture as well as the influences on the architecture of Germany, Holland, Denmark, Netherlands, etc. This is an interesting and enlightening account of travel by a skilled and observant architect. Decorated covers with circular gilt decoration and black text, all edges are red. Covers a little dull with light wear, spine leaning somewhat. The last few pages have a semi-circular dampstain to edge which just extends to text block. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book. ; B&W Illustrations; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 441 pages .
