London: Chatto & Windus, 1935. First Edition. Very Good/Very Good. First edition, first printing. In publisher's orange cloth binding decorated in gilt on the spine. Very Good, with pages toned, top edge dust-soiled, several small brown spots to textblock edge. Tape ghost to front and rear free endpapers. In a Very Good price-clipped dust jacket, with a stain on the front panel, foxing, light edge wear, toning to spine panel, and tape repairs made to the verso. The author's third novel, scarce in the dust jacket.
