About This Item

NY: Charles Scribner's Sons.. VG+ books. FINE set BUT all spines uniformly sunned.. 1916. Ltd ed of 256.. Hardcover. VG+ books. MISSING vol 11. The "Crossroads" limited numbered ed. Each vol numbered #246 of 256. 8"x5", each about 300 pages. . Vol 1 (and only vol 1) limitation page with an added & neatly inked "Charles Scribner's Sons". Blanck BAL 4574 states this set printed on Japan paper and had original stories in vols 10, 11 & 12. BAL also says there were three earlier sets and one later but only this "Crossroads" had origional material. Virtually a flawless set since only flaws the sunned spines and a few scuffed tips. All top edges gilt, other two deckled, with no soiling or foxing on any of the three. No loose pages or weak hinges. Tight bindings, as might be expected since these sets were never measnt to be actually read. Photo only of vol 1 but will send photos of all 11, if requested. .
