New York: The Viking Press, 1943. Signed Limited Edition. Cloth covered boards. Limited edition, signed by the author on limitation page and numbered as 109 out of 400 editions.
Portions of this story appeared in Town and Country both under the title and under "Man of the World". By the same author of the beloved Madeline series.
Illustrated green paste down boards and end pages in fantastic condition. Publisher's decorative label pasted to front board in fine condition and displays a bright and delightful scene filled with busy city life. Touch of rubbing to grey cloth covering the boards. Red leather label affixed to spine is still bright and clean, intact with no fading to the gilt lettering
Slipcover is clean with wear and some chips to corners and edges. Splitting along the front edge and a small wrinkle to lower left corner but bright and clean.
