About This Item
London: Michael Joseph, 1941. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. The interior of the book is clean and tight, with no marks and just a few signs of previous use. The paper is slightly tanned. The red cloth covers have light wear, and one patch of fading at the bottom of the spine, where the dust jacket is nicked. The dust jacket is not price-clipped, but is only in fair conditon, with paper missing from the top and bottom of the spine, and two more nicks on the back panel. The attached scan gives a better idea of condition, and additional scans are available on request. Synopsis: This is Allingham's account of the first part of World War II, as she and her neighbours experienced it in rural England.
