There is a protective plastic covering on the book which is now peeling. at the edges. The side edges of the pages show discoloration. The wrap around cover has been severed from the spine and glued back, not completely successfully. White marks on the front inside cover, there is a stamp with German print on the first page, which is also the title page. There is a hint of cigarette smoke when the book is held close to the nose.
