London: Butterworths Scientific Publications, 1957. Ex-Library. Hardcover. Good/None. Blue cloth boards with gilt shield on front and gilt titling on spine. Rear board scratched, especially at the bottom corner. There's an adhesive mark on the spine heel. Pastedowns have scars where bookplates had been removed. Also a purple text stamp on rear pastedown. Title page blindstamped 'Oberlin College Library'. Six numbers stamped in blue on verso of title page. Binding is firm. Interior unmarked. Upper and side page edges foxed. Quarto. BOOK INFO: Proceedings of the Ninth Symposium of the Colston Research Society held in the University of Bristol April 1-4, 1957. The contributions are concerned with questions belonging to the philosophy of physics--for the most part to the philosophy of Quantum Mechanics. Sir Charles Darwin's paper alone, unlike the others, was delivered before an audience in which philosophers and physicists were a small minority.
