About This Item

Philadelphia: Moreau de St. Mery, 1797. 50pp. Dbd. Slight wear at bottom of title-leaf, else very good. First edition in English, after the original publication in French the same year, also from the press of Moreau de St. Mery. Written at the time of the highest tension between France and the U.S. over interference in American trade - the "Quasi-War" - the author argues that the U.S. is not being fair to France and is leaning too far toward England. HOWES T21. EVANS 32905.
