Gilt-blocked leather labels to spine, with compartments uniformly tooled in gilt. Label to vol. 3 is worn with loss. Spine bands and panel edges slightly worn and rubbed as with age. Hinges starting in places. Remains particularly well-preserved overall; tight, bright, clean and strong. ; 8vo 8"" - 9"" tall; Physical description: 5 v. ; 19cm. Notes: Anonymous. By Richard Cumberland. Vol. 1-3 were published in 1786, v. 4 in 1788 and v. 5 in 1791. Subjects: Conduct of life - Early works to 1800. Greek literature - History and criticism - Early works to 1800.
