FredericK Warne & Co., 1964. Cloth. Very Good/Fair. 24mo - over 5" - 5¾" tall. 16 plates in full color, 52 monochrome illustrated reproductions. Small sturdy book, peach mottled cloth with red embossed title and triangle design tiny on front, very fine lettering on spine too, timeline with major artists inside covers and adjacent end papers, continued from front to back, 148 lightly browned pages, four illustrated sections throughout, badly creased (cracked) across bottom back. DJ colorfully designed with illustration of still-life by Cezanne on front, white back slightly browned and rippled with illustrations from books in series on music and painting. DJ is worn and torn at edges and tips. Fair DJ/Near Very Good book.
