London: Frederick Warne & Co, Ltd, 1956. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. White pictorial dust jacket with violas over green cloth boards. Blue titles on front and spine. 223 pages describing over 200 species with index and 220 illustrations in colour and black and white. Nice and clean inside, spine slightly cocked and minor foxing on rear endpapers. Dust jacket in fairly complete but poor condition, torn and chipped. Undated circa1956 going by the published dates listed for the rest of the series on the dust jacket. Overall the book is very good and still a useful guide, one of the more desirable books in the series.
