About This Item

London: Hutchinson, 1973. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good +/Very Good. The interior of the book is crisp and clean, with no marks or wear. The black covers are fresh, with light bumps to the top and bottom of the spine, but no other wear. The gilt lettering is still bright. The dust jacket is in Very Good condition. It has been priced-clipped, and shows very light edgewear overall, with the worst fault being a small (under 1/8 ") chip from the bottom of the spine area. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. The dust jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: Set in occupied France in May of 1944, this is the story of an Allied agent who finds himself faced by the appalling consequences of his mission to secure the success of the D-Day landings. In war, individuals may be sacrificed for the common good, but what if the price of success had to be the lives of innocent children?
