Sampson Low, Marston & Co. Ltd. Hardback. Fair. Undated new edition hardback, as sanctioned by the Admiralty, c.1911, with no jacket. An excellent reading copy of this scarce title with some signs of age, handling and storage - boards generally rubbed with wear to spine head tail. Binding tight and internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions - ownership signature small and neat to front endpaper and to the upper edge of chapter one; toning to page-ends with a little light foxing here and there but text, tables, large folding map to rear and illustrations bright and clear throughout. Photographs available. Not an old library book.
