London: Printed for William Miller, by W. Bulmer & Co., 1804., 1804.. Fair. ILLUSTRATED WITH 5 HAND-COLORED AQUATINTS - Octavo, 9-1/2 inches high by 6 inches wide. Bound in full brown calf with raised bands on the spines and with gilt ruled frames on the covers. The covers are rubbed and scuffed and the leather is split along the top and bottom of the front joint. The spine labels have perished. xii, [ii] & 171 pages, illustrated with 5 hand-colored aquatint plates by J. Stadler after drawings by Repton. Pages 129 through 144 are misbound between pages 160 and 161. The hinges are cracked and the front cover and spine have pulled away from the text block. The chipped front endpaper is detached. There are otherwise only minor flaws internally and this complete volume is well worth rebinding.

From the library of the esteemed collector and first president of the Grolier Club Robert Hoe with his attractive gilt decorated leather book label mounted on the front pastedown.
The 5 hand-colored aquatints consist of: "A view of Life & the Mountain of Calamity", "The Hall of Silence", "1745 - 1787-1804", "The Bashful Man", and "The Friar's Tale".
