Bound in publisher's original hardcover quarter Holland-backed blue paper boards, with white vellum spine and paper title label. Printed on fine, hand-made, watermarked SPALDING paper. Uncut, deckled edges. 230 pp. Publisher's advertisement at end. Cover water-stained and warn. Small 1/4" and 1/8" patches of paper on boards missing. Spine darkened and worn. Corners bumped. Label chipped and much worn. Hinges only marginally intact but holding. Offsetting to title page, otherwise internally clean and bright throughout. Condition overall: Poor.

Synopsis

The Odyssey (Greek: Ὀδύσσεια, Odýsseia) is one of two major ancient Greek epic poems attributed to Homer. It is, in part, a sequel to the Iliad, the other work traditionally ascribed to Homer. The poem is fundamental to the modern Western canon. Indeed it is the second—the Iliad being the first—extant work of Western literature.
