Paris: J. Hetzel. Good with no dust jacket. 1846-1848. Hardcover. B&W Illustrations; 7.5" x 10. 25" x 3". Paul Gavarni was the nom de plume of Sulpice Guillaume Chevalier. Most of his best work appeared in Le Charivari [Punch]. A French illustrator, born in Paris. 100's of illustrations. Volumes one and two only of four eventually published, Bound in full decorative green morocco leather with gilt designes. Front covers detached.. 9 pounds. Each has a title pg=age in front and a second one about half way through. .
