Nouvelle édition, corrigée & augmentée de plusieurs pièces qui n'avoient point encore paru, 5 volumes bound in 3, 16mo; woodcut printer's devices, head- and tail-pieces; full contemporary mottled calf, elaborately gilt-tooled spines in 6 compartments, red morocco gilt spine labels, all edges red, marbled endpapers; general wear, top hinge of Vol. I cracked, losses to leather, most substantially so to the third volume; contemporary armorial bookplates of Fr. Com. Kinsky with the House of Kinsky coat of arms to front pastedowns; a good, sound set. Collected works by the French playwright who perfected the "comédie larmoyante" ("tearful comedy"). Additonal Supplément aux oeuvres de Monsieur de la Chaussée, Amsterdam: 1762, bound at end after Vol. V. Brunet III, pp. 727-728: "Les exemplaires en papier de Hollande sont les seuls qui conservent de la valeur"; Graesse IV, p. 63.
