Hardback, circa 1895, published by Sampson Low, Marston & Company London, illustrated.
In very good condition for age. Pictorial and patterned boards. Split to top third of outer front hinge. Gilt lettering to front board and spine. Slight wear and rubbing but colour, design and gilt detail very vivid. Removable protective clear plastic cover. Some signs of shelf-wear. Book has slight forward tilt. Corners bumped and rubbed. Binding firm. Page edges browned but reasonably clean. Small seller stamp to FFEP and bookplate from 1898 for school prizegiving to front pastedown. Slight marking to endpapers but otherwise page surfaces are very clean, only the occasional mark, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
