[Houston: National Aeronautics and Space Administration, 1960. A handsome photographic portrait of the late U.S. Marine Corps aviator and astronaut, wearing his signature bowtie, with Project Mercury pin on his lapel. Original silver gelatin photograph, measuring 7 5/8" x 10". Inscribed by Glenn in blue ball-point pen: "Best regards to Donna Cunningham / J.H. Glenn Jr." Seven-digit serial number printed along upper right margin, with corresponding numbers typed on verso, directly above the following statement: "Project Mercury Astronaut. John H. Glenn, Jr. Official NASA Photograph [...]. Trivial surface wear, tiny pin-hole to lower margin, with some mild toning along the edges on verso; Very Good+ to Near Fine.
