VG- (minus) , corners lightly rubbed, front & rear boards rubbed, top edge pages somewhat spotted, previous ownerÕs bookplate front pastedown, previous ownerÕs blindstamp second front ep, some offsetting title page, pages yellowing. Overall a tight solid copy with clean unmarked pages and illustrations. Protected in mylar. ; 4to, black cloth, gilt lettering and decs. Spine, dec. Eps, color frontispiece, 318pp. (fore and bottom edge pages uncut) , index. Introduction by George Saintsbury. Of this edition on Japon de luxe there have been printed 1350 copies of which 500 are for sale in the United States of America and 750 are for sale in England; This is copy number 489. .
