Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound hardcover, clean, unmarked interior but for previous owner's fine bookplate inside front flap, minimal rubbing to extremities. Bumping to spine head and foot. Imperial octavo hardcover format, green cloth covers, top edge gilt, and gilt titles to cover and spine. viii, 224 pp. First Edition state, being a fine and useful study of copper-plate engraving and engravers in England up to the end of the eighteenth century. Illustrated with 48 plates in black-and-white.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
