Condition: Good, with light shelfwear to covers. The front endpaper bears the blindstamp of the art gallery Offer Waterman & Co. to the lower right, with a handwritten reference number to the centre. Light crease to top corner of title page and the following foreword page. 255pp. Many b/w photographic illustrations together with b/w drawn illustrations (some folding). This book is concerned with Jersey houses from the period 1500-1700. The author furnishes a wealth of information of the history of the island of Jersey and its people as well as detailed historical and architectural notes on its buildings. Good reading/reference copy. (We also have a copy of Volume II which deals with the period 1700 to the early 20th century available separately).
