Acclaimed, realistic biography by Nebraska novelist, writer and teacher Mari [Susette] Sandoz (1896 - 1966) of her father Jules Ami Sandoz, who, as he lay dying in 1928, asked that she "write of his stuggles as a locator, a builder of communities, a bringer of fruit to the Panhandle".
