Secker & Warburg, London, 1961, first edition; 8vo, pp 352; dustwrapper slightly dulled or and with a very little fraying at the edges but a very good copy. The book is Wilson's fourth novel and deals with events immediately preceding a nuclear attack on London, something which leads to a dystopian dictatorship and the incarceration of prisoners at the zoo, by then transformed into a concentration camp. It was in 1983 made into a BBC television serial.
